1. Login to cpanel with your username and password.
2. In security section , you can find password protected directory button.
3. Click on it.
4. Select document root and enter in file manager dialog box.
5. Click on go button.
6. You can see list of directories for root domain.
7. Select one that you want to make password protected.
8. Add username and password detail.
9. Click on add modify user button.
10. You can see success message.
